Yemen Denies It is Holding Ethiopian Opposition Leader

A senior Interior Ministry official told Yemen Post that Ethiopian opposition leader, Andargachew Tsege, Secretary General of Ginbot 7 Movement for Justice, Freedom and Democracy, is not in Yemen.

The official would not discuss if Yemeni authorities arrested him in Sanaa International Airport in the first place, though did not deny.
Ethiopian media is reporting that the opposition leader was arrested at the airport and is still being held in Yemen. Opposition activists and movements condemned what they called the continued illegal detention of Tsege, who is a renowned critic of the Ethiopian government.
According to Ethiopian media, Tsege who holds British citizenship, and was traveling with a UK passport at the time of his travel.
